Mahindra eKUV100 (Price Range Starts from Rs.9 lakhs)
In most cases, the series design of the EKUV100 closely resembles the KUV100 petrol variant car. The new closed grille for better aerodynamics with a small arrow-shaped insert can be seen as a differentiator here. In addition, the headlights and taillights have blue accents. There are also "+" and "-" symbols on the car's body. There are minor differences between the first images of eKUV and the launched one. The Expo model, in particular, has a different set of alloy wheels. The new Mahindra Electric car is equipped with a 15.9 kWh battery that powers one 54.4 hp electric motor and gives 120 Nm of torque. This car can be charged completely in 5 hours 45 minutes using a standard charger or 80% in 55 minutes using the quick charger. This provides a range of up to 150 kilometers, although carmakers are working on a battery upgrade to extend the range even further. It can seat up to 6 people. The company claims that the new eKUV100 has new connectivity features such as remote diagnosis, built-in pre-cooling, and real-time location detection. The electric sleek crossover can also monitor the driver's driving mode and status and charging of the car battery.
Hyundai Kona Electric (Price Range Starts from Rs.23.75 lakhs)
New Hyundai Kona Electric comes with 39 kWh and 64 kWh batteries, a range of 484 km WLTP that reaches up to 660 km in the urban cycle, and new trim levels. It can become one of the best-selling electric SUVs that features cutting-edge safety equipment and advanced technologies. The outfits proposed by the Korean house are three, XTech City, XLine, and XClass, with a list price starting from 23.75 lakh rupees. As always, this version of the Hyundai Kona also comes with the Hyundai “5 years unlimited km” warranty and an 8 year / 160,000 km warranty on the high voltage battery. New Hyundai Kona Electric presents several innovations starting from an even more innovative exterior design. The new features at the front and rear, the new light signature, and the new 18 ”alloy wheels give the model a more elegant appearance while maintaining its characteristic robustness.
The interior of this electric car is designed to express a more refined and innovative look. New seat upholstery options include a modern, industrial-inspired checkered black fabric. A significant technological evolution is made possible thanks to the numerous features available onboard: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity on the 8 "touchscreen, 10.25" high definition digital cluster, and a central 10.25 "touchscreen display with split-screen functionality and the ability to accommodate multiple Bluetooth connections, while rear-seat passengers can charge their devices through a dedicated USB port. In addition, a new ambient light illuminates the central tunnel and the lower part of the passenger and driver's cabin. Along with high comfort, Hyundai Kona Electric offers Hyundai Smartsense driving assistance systems such as Autonomous Braking with the vehicle, pedestrian and cycle detection, Lane Keeping, and Driver Fatigue Detection.
Tata Altroz EV (Price Range Starts from Rs.14 lakhs)
The Tata Altroz EV is based on the actual Altroz hatchback. TataMotors' Altroz EV is based on the new Alpha platform and is the first electric vehicle to use this platform. Other than the change in appearance, this car is similar to its petrol variant TATA Altroz. The company claims that the Altroz EV can go up to 250 kilometers on a complete single charge. In looks, the Tata Altros EV is somewhere a replica of its petrol version. This electric vehicle from Tata is also being manufactured using Ziptron's new electric powertrain technology. The design of the Altroz EV differs slightly from the recently launched Altroz petrol model. We easily notice changes have been made to the front and rear bumpers of the Altroz EV. One of the attractive features of this car is that the alloy wheel is highlighted in blue. Altroz EV is based on the Altroz EV specifically designed platform, the ALFA-Arc platform. The Altroz EV battery is a 30.2 kWh IP 67 fused lithium-ion battery generated at approximately 100 horsepower. The electric vehicle is based on Ziptron EV patented technology, and the Nexon EV is also based on this technology. As a result, Altroz, which never featured an automatic transmission, sees a single-speed gearbox (similar to an automatic transmission) as an excellent example of an electric vehicle. It will take one hour with a fast charger to charge its battery upto 80%. It is expected to be launched with a price range under Rs. 15 lakh in the Indian market.
