Tata Nexon EV registers its highest sales in India.
Tata Motors announced its June 2021 sales figures on Thursday. Last month, the domestic automaker sold a total of 24,110 passenger vehicles. The company claims that Nexon EV had the best-ever monthly sales in June 2021, with 650 units sold.
The EV had released in January 2020, and despite the epidemic, the automaker has sold over 4,500 units to date. With over 4,500 units sold to date, Tata Nexon EV has become the best-seller of electric vehicles of India, and things are looking up for the popular crossover. The Nexon EV has stayed at the top of the Indian electric passenger car market.
Tata Nexon EV: Pricing
The standard XM model of the Tata Nexon EV costs Rs. 13.99 lakh, while the top-spec XZ+ LUX variant costs Rs. 16.56 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The Tata Nexon EV has propelled by a 30.2kWh Lithium-ion battery pack and a three-phase Permanent Synchronous motor. The total output of the powertrain is 127hp/245Nm. The car can be charged from 0 to 80 per cent in an hour and has a range of 312 kilometres.

Shailesh Chandra, President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors Ltd., claimed that the PV industry sequential development momentum was impeded in Q1 of FY22 owing to Covid restrictions across the country concerning the automaker passenger car sales in June 2021.
“Despite challenging business conditions, the firm recorded its highest-ever quarterly sales of 1,715 units in the EV sector. It was owing to increasing demand for Nexon EV, which saw its highest-ever monthly sales of 650 units in June of this year," according to the carmaker.
The automaker also stated that their June 2021 sales climbed by 111 per cent compared to the same month last year, when it sold 11,419 vehicles in the domestic market. The automobile manufacturer sold 64,386 cars in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, a 342 per cent increase from 14,571 units in Q1 FY21.

Tata Motors relaunched its passenger car division a few years ago by debuting a slew of new goods in various body categories. Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Nexon, Harrier, Safari, and others are examples. The new automobile category also includes a new design language with a slew of new features and technology.
The manufacturer has stated that it will offer ten electric vehicles to the Indian market by 2025. An electric model of the Altorz hatchback would be among them. Aside from that, production models of the HBX and Tata Sierra may be released shortly.
