Indian Oils Planning To Install Electric Vehicle Charging Facility At 100 Outlets In Maharashtra

On Friday, A senior official from the state-owned Indian Oils said that the company plans to install electric vehicle charging stations at 100 outlets across Maharashtra. It will include five in the Marathwada region. According to authorities, The Aurangabad rural police-run shop, which opened last year, is the one chosen for 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' of Maharashtra.

"We have installed a facility for charging electric cars here after the launch of the 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' programme on this pump," Shrivastav told reporters after the ceremony.

He also stated that Indian Oil intends to build approximately 100 electric car charging stations around the state by the end of the current fiscal year. "Five will be placed in the state of Marathwada." Wherever possible, the charge guns will update from 15 KW to 45 KW. We can also build a new facility if necessary."

When comparing fuel sales, Shrivastav stated, "The sale of petrol has returned to pre-COVID-19 levels, but there is still a 5-6 per cent gap in terms of diesel sales."
