Scooters being practical also provide space for luggage and have a comfortable riding posture. But with the increasing petrol prices it is becoming a bit less practical. Here the electric scooter becomes a perfect replacement. Here are a few Upcoming Electric Scooter which we might see in 2021.
VESPA ELETTRICA
The scooter will come as a CBU product. Being a CBU it will cost more than the other competitors. This won't be a problem as Vespa has always been the iPhone of two-wheelers. The Vespa Elettrica is expected to hit a price of Rs 1.5 lakhs. Whereas the competition is placed at Rs 1 lakh. This pricer electric scooter won't offer much more than the premiumness for the extra cost. Also, the Vespa Badge might be related to art but the audience for that badge is not there in high numbers in India.
The launch date of these upcoming electric scooters are not confirm. We are expecting these scooter in price range of the Rs 1 to 1.5 lakh.
SUZUKI BURGMAN ELECTRIC
Suzuki Burgman Electric will mark the Japanese auto giant's entry in the e-scooter market in India. This premium electric scooter will compete with Ather 450X and Bajaj Chetak. The auto company has started road testing the model in India. As the test mule has been spotted, it gets an exclusive white-blue colour theme, dual hydraulic shock absorbers. Also, the full wheel cover and a redesigned reflector strip are there.
The Suzuki Burgman Electric scooter is likely to get power from 3-4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a 4-6 kW output motor. The powertrain is capable of enabling the vehicle to run around 80 km on a single charge. It would be priced at around Rs 1.2 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hero Electric AE-29
Hero Electric showcased the AE-29 at the Auto Expo 2020. It is a high-speed electric scooter with a 1 kW motor and a 3.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. The scooter is claimed to have a top speed of 55 kmph. The electric scooter gets features like LED lights, digital instrumental cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, walk assist, anti-theft smart lock, reverse facility, mobile charger, and mobile app support.
