In April 2021 ola revealed its plans for providing charging solutions to all its electric two wheeler customers and unveiled the Ola Hypercharger Network, the charging network for its upcoming two wheeler. It will accomplish through a combination of widely deployed high-speed Ola Hyperchargers and the home-charger that will come bundled with the Ola Scooter.
The Ola Hypercharger Network will be the widest and densest electric two wheeler charging network in the world, with more than 100,000 charging points across 400 cities. In initial phase Ola is setting up over 5,000 charging points across 100 cities in India, more than double the existing charging infrastructure in the country.
The Ola Scooter can be charged 50% in just 18 minutes for a 75 kms range, using ola hypercharger. The home charger will require no installation and will provide Ola customers the convenience of charging at home by simply plugging into a regular wall socket for overnight charging.
How ola hypercharge network works
Ola Electric Scooters can be charged by a combination of AC and DC charging technology. AC charging is slower so it's suitable when the vehicle owner has enough time.DC charging is faster and ideal for charging at public locations. To use the Ola Electric Hypercharging Network, users must install the Ola Electric app on their smartphones. The app provides a map of all the charging points available nearby.Once the user reaches the charging point, they need to connect their EV to the charging point using a compatible charging cable.Ola Hyper Charging network will automatically determine the battery capacity of the electric scooter and optimize the charging speed and efficiency. The charging point displays the charging status, and users can monitor the progress through the Ola Electric app. Once the charging process is completed, the user can disconnect their electric scooter from the charging point. When you want to unplug the charger, tap on the ‘Stop Charging’ button on the scooter’s dashboard and wait for the ‘Unplug the charger’ message to appear on the screen. After receiving that message you can unplug your scooter from the charging port.
How much money need to pay for Hypercharger
According to the company’s official website, the Ola HyperCharger is free for all users in India but for a limited period of time.
