Tata Altroz EV

The Tata Altroz ​​EV is based on the actual Altroz ​​hatchback. TataMotors' Altroz ​​EV is based on the new Alpha platform and is the first electric vehicle to use this platform. Other than the change in appearance, this car is similar to its petrol variant TATA Altroz. The company claims that the Altroz ​​EV can go up to 250 kilometers on a complete single charge. In looks, the Tata Altros EV is somewhere a replica of its petrol version. This electric vehicle from Tata is also being manufactured using Ziptron's new electric powertrain technology. The design of the Altroz ​​EV differs slightly from the recently launched Altroz ​​petrol model. We easily notice changes have been made to the front and rear bumpers of the Altroz ​​EV. Altroz ​​EV is based on the Altroz ​​EV specifically designed platform, the ALFA-Arc platform. The Altroz ​​EV battery is a 30.2 kWh IP 67 fused lithium-ion battery generated at approximately 100 horsepower. The electric vehicle is based on Ziptron EV patented technology, and the Nexon EV is also based on this technology. As a result, Altroz, which never featured an automatic transmission, sees a single-speed gearbox (similar to an automatic transmission) as an excellent example of an electric vehicle. It will take one hour with a fast charger to charge its battery up to 80%. It is expected to be launched with a price range of Rs. 11.50 - 13.00 lakh in the Indian market.

Nissan Leaf EV

Radically different from the previous model, the new Nissan Leaf is closer to the other models in the Japanese manufacturer's range. It thus incorporates many elements present in the rest of the range such as the V-shaped grille, the optional two-tone color, the boomerang optics, or the "floating roof". Much more dynamic than the previous generation, the look is both more attractive and consensual. 4.480 long, it can carry up to 5 passengers. The trunk volume has also been optimized and now allows loading up to 435 l.

Inside, the new Leaf is enriched with a new dashboard and partly digital instrumentation which will be used in particular to display the ProPilot functionality. Models equipped with the Nissan Connect navigation system will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Much more powerful than the old version, the new Nissan is available in two engines:

The first develops up to 100 kW (150 horsepower) and equips the version with a 40 kWh battery

The second offers up to 160 kW (217 horsepower). It is reserved for the 62 kWh version.

Still supplied by AESC – the joint venture established between NEC and Nissan – the battery of the new Leaf is available in two versions: 40 or 62 kWh with respectively 270 and 385 km of autonomy in the WLTP cycle. On the AC charging side, the new Leaf allows up to 6 kW of power, i.e. a charge in 8 hours with a suitable wall box. On the fast charging side, the manufacturer remains faithful to the CHAdeMO standard. Fixed at 50 kW for the 40 kWh version, the charging power increases to 100 kW for the 62 kWh version.

In terms of equipment, all versions of the Nissan Leaf offer the E-Pedal system, 6.6 kW onboard charger, and CHADeMO socket for fast charging. They come with a home charging cable and a type 2 32A cable.

Tata Sierra

Future electric SUVs will be powered by a 69 kWh battery which is further split into two parts. One is stored under the floor and the other under the trunk floor. You can choose from two versions: FWD (one electric motor on the front axle) and AWD (two electric motors, one for each axle). however, we are yet to know about the power of these batteries. The length of the Sierra is 4.1 m which is a slightly smaller size when compared to other SUVs. It has an infotainment system with a 12.12-inch touchscreen, a front row 360-degree rotational chairs, a sunroof, and alloy wheels.

It is reported that Tata Sierra EV is based on the "Sigma" brand platform and is embody the philosophy of "Sigma". The loud warning horns include Grindset songs (Polozhenie-Zedline Remix) related to the above concept, as well as flashing lights and door opening sounds. In addition, to achieve the agenda of sustainability, the vehicle includes more than 9,000 recycling centers. The expected price of Tata Sierra will be Rs.14 lakhs. It will be based on the ALPHA-ARC platform.

Tesla Model X

The Tesla Model X is the third model from the American electric car manufacturer. The battery capacity is estimated at around 100 kWh for the “Long Autonomy” version, which is now approaching 600 km of autonomy in the WLTP cycle.

The Plaid version, the most extreme, will approach 550 km in one charge thanks to a battery of around 120 kWh. Both the motor and the battery are guaranteed for 8 years, and unlimited mileage. The engine of the Model X is similar to that of the Model S. The SUV is only available in four-wheel drive. It is more the acceleration that differs, while the top speed of the electric SUV is around 250 km / h.

Tesla deploys a network of ultra-fast charging stations, called superchargers, which can charge a Model X very quickly. While the first customers were able to benefit from “lifetime” superchargers, new ones must now pay charging fees depending on the country.

Ford Mustang Mach E
