Tata Motors Altroz EV Q3 2022
The Tata Altroz EV is based on the actual Altroz hatchback. TataMotors' Altroz EV is based on the new Alpha platform and is the first electric vehicle to use this platform. Other than the change in appearance, this car is similar to its petrol variant TATA Altroz. The company claims that the Altroz EV can go up to 250 kilometers on a complete single charge. In looks, the Tata Altros EV is somewhere a replica of its petrol version. This electric vehicle from Tata is also being manufactured using Ziptron's new electric powertrain technology. The design of the Altroz EV differs slightly from the recently launched Altroz petrol model. We easily notice changes have been made to the front and rear bumpers of the Altroz EV. One of the attractive features of this car is that the alloy wheel is highlighted in blue.
Altroz EV is based on the Altroz EV specifically designed platform, the ALFA-Arc platform. The Altroz EV battery is a 30.2 kWh IP 67 fused lithium-ion battery generated at approximately 100 horsepower. The electric vehicle is based on Ziptron EV patented technology, and the Nexon EV is also based on this technology. As a result, Altroz, which never featured an automatic transmission, sees a single-speed gearbox (similar to an automatic transmission) as an excellent example of an electric vehicle. It will take one hour with a fast charger to charge its battery up to 80%. It is expected to be launched with a price range of Rs. 11.50 - 13.00 lakh in the Indian market.
Mahindra eXUV300 Q3 2022
Mahindra's all-new model Mahindra eXUV300 is a fully electric version of the XUV300 compact SUV. The electric SUV will be showcased at the Auto Expo in 2020. The eXUV300 will be built on the Mahindra Electric Modular Architecture called MESMA (Mahindra Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture) platform to power Mahindra electric vehicles in the future. This new electric car has two battery options.
Mahindra eXUV comes with an autonomy of about 300 km, which allows Mahindra to match the price of the XUV 300 electric with the most anticipated car of Tata, the Nexon EV. It is expected to be equipped with a 60kWh battery with a 150kW (or 204hp) electric motor. This version should extend its range up to 400 kilometers and could compete with the Hyundai Kona Electric and MGZ SEV. It comes with DC fast charging to save the driver time.
Mahindra eXUV300 looks a bit different from its petrol and diesel cars. The closed front grille and blue accents on the bodywork and wheels are unique to the electric version. Mahindra is also trying to implement the capsule-type SLR camera concept. The interior has also received quite a few updates from its petrol variant. The new touchscreen infotainment system with connected technology is expected to see major changes inside. The eXUV300 offers comfortable seating for 5, but with a small luggage area. The Mahindra eXUV300 electric SUV is expected to start from Rs. 13 lakhs and goes up to Rs.18 lakhs.
Hyundai Kona Facelift Q3 2022
New Hyundai Kona Electric comes with 39 kWh and 64 kWh batteries, a range of 484 km WLTP that reaches up to 660 km in the urban cycle, and new trim levels. It is one of the best-selling electric SUVs that features cutting-edge safety equipment and advanced technologies. The outfits proposed by the Korean house are three, XTech City, XLine, and XClass, with a list price starting from 23.75 lakh rupees. New Hyundai Kona Electric presents several innovations starting from an even more innovative exterior design. The new features at the front and rear, the new light signature, and the new 18 ”alloy wheels give the model a more elegant appearance while maintaining its characteristic robustness.
The interior of this electric car is designed to express a more refined and innovative look. New seat upholstery options include a modern, industrial-inspired checkered black fabric. Volvo XC40 Recharge Q3 2022
Already available in 4-wheel drive, Volvo's electric SUV range is growing. A new version is now available in a 2-wheel drive version. The Volvo XC40 Recharge receives a single motor driving the rear wheels instead of two on the XC40 Recharge Twin variant, which has all-wheel drive. The price is expected to start from Rs. 74 lakhs in India.
The Volvo XC 40 Electric Recharge uses the electrical architecture of the Polestar 2. The SUV has two engines of 150 kW (204 hp) each placed on one axle for a total of 408 hp and 660 Nm of torque. A configuration that allows 0 to 100 km / h in 4.9 s and a top speed of 180 km / h. As the electric motor is more compact than thermal units, the space freed up under the hood allows for a small box to store charging cables and other safety equipment. Note that the electric Volvo XC 40 can tow a tow bar with a maximum mass of 1500 kg.

The XC40 Recharge can travel 400 km on a single charge according to the WLTP standard. Via a Combo CCS connector, the electric Volvo XC 40 recharges in 40 minutes from 10 to 80% when plugged into a direct current (DC) fast terminal. The maximum DC charging power is 150 kW. As standard, it can charge alternating current (AC) up to 7.4 kW for a full 10 hours. Optionally, the power can be increased to 22 kW AC for a load of 0 to 80% in 5 hours.
