Tata Motors, being the biggest automobile manufacturing company in India which offers an extensive range of integrated, smart, and e-mobility solutions, has launched the electrified version of Tata Nexon, popularly named as Tata Nexon EV on 28th January 2020.

 The Nexon EV is the first electric SUV crossover designed by the company. The SUV uses connected car technicality which can monitor the battery’s health, can track the car’s location, and with an added feature of alerting the driver with safety alarms.

 As per the company's claims, the Tata Nexon EV can cover a distance of 300 km on a full charge. The design of and styling of Nexon EV is quite aggressive as compared to the regular Nexon. This EV is offered in three variants – the base model of Nexon EV is XM and the top variant Tata Nexon EV XZ Plus LUX.

 Despite the slowdown in the market due to Covid-19 which led to lockdown basically slammed the brakes on the evolving EV ecosystem. All the major growth segments like public transport, mobility in the cities, and the fleet segment were heavily impacted in the country but contrary to the situation Tata’s Nexon EV  managed to crack the market and a good number of people bought it.
