Simple One electric scooter to be launched in 13 states in phase one

An EV startup Simple Energy is all set to launch its first electric scooter, Simple One, which is considered the longest-running with a commendable range electric scooter in the Indian market. As per reports, the model will initially be available in 13 states across the country. These states include Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana, Maharashtra, Delhi, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab. However, it will be implemented in several states and cities in different phases.
If we talk about the first phase, the company plans to export one million vehicles annually at its facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The factory covers a 200,000 square meters area and could open at the end of this year. In the future, the company plans to invest more than INR 3.5 billion in this project. It was previously planned that it will only be available in three major cities: Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad. However, when the annual production capacity of the Hosur, Tamil Nadu plant reached 1 million, the company decided to expand its business at this level. Founder and CEO Suhas Rajkumar said he has received booking requests from several cities across the country. So the company decided to go to the 13 cities in the first phase and work hard to meet its needs.

Speaking of the performance of the Simple Energy scooter, it is equipped with a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery and can deliver up to 240 km of range in economy mode. The scooter can also reach a distance of 0-50 kilometers in 3.6 seconds. This scooter can reach a top speed of 100 km/h. The intermediate drive motor is equipped with a detachable battery. It also has useful features such as a touchscreen, google real-time navigation, and Bluetooth to enjoy music and feel connected with your loved ones. You can charge this e-scooter up to 80% in just 40 minutes and that too with a standard home charger which is a key point of this scooter. If we talk about its 100% charging, it takes around 1 hour and 5 minutes for a full charge. In addition, it provides a fast-charging system so that the battery of the scooter is charged to 50% in just 20 minutes.

The price of this electric scooter ranges from Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.20 lakh (for the showroom). You can also take benefit from the FAME II subsidy and tax benefits.
