Ola S1 Pro v/s TVS iQube
Every significant advancement in personal technology ushers in a new generation of competitors ready to upend established practices. Consider the transition from an internal combustion engine to an electric motor. On the one hand, we have established producers like TVS, a name renowned for offering bikes and scooters with exceptional engineering. On the other hand, there are startups like Ola Electric, which aims to transform personal mobility by entirely reimagining what a scooter may feel and look like, in addition to making a fresh start as an EV manufacturer.
Ola S1 Pro : Designs
Ola decided to start from fresh, and the outcome is, to be honest, rather amazing. The S1 Pro is a stylish and contemporary-looking scooter. Though I personally think it has a hint of an older Vespa, there's no denying that the Ola S1 Pro has a certain charisma that makes you want to stare at it nonstop. People actually appear to find it fascinating, which is something we discovered throughout the test. There is something about its appearance that truly draws your eye in. The headlight, which has two LED lamps—one for high beam and one for low beam—is what I consider to be the brilliant touch in this picture. It has a futuristic appearance.
TVS iQube S : Designs
In contrast, the TVS iQube S has a standard scooter-like design. You could never know, or even think, that it has an electric heart, except from the electric badging on the side and the green number plate. There are certain elements, like the LED lights, that give the design a little glitz, but all in all, it's nothing remarkable; you take one look at it and go on. However, the Ola will only cause you to pause and gaze.
Ola S1 Pro : Specs & Features
Ola S1 Pro's self-handling on the track was a major factor in its ranking among our Best of 2022. It had quick acceleration and was easy to tip into turns. However, the track is not the actual world because traffic is a part of it. The throttle on-off transition on the Ola is still subpar even after the device was upgraded to Move OS3.At low speeds, the drive takes some time to engage when you crank the throttle. You can expect an exhilarating ride in both the Sports and Hyper modes, but in Normal mode, things remain calm until the motor heats up. The Ola will travel significantly farther than the TVS before their batteries run out, thus the S1 Pro just outperforms the iQube in terms of both acceleration and range. So much so that it was really possible to utilize Ola for intercity travel. The S1 Pro boasts a fantastic and modern look. Nevertheless, several of the plastic panels on our test scooter were somewhat misfitting. You can be sure that the S1 Pro will now propel you farther and quicker. It also has a greater number of bells and whistles than the iQubeThe Ola S1 Pro is a good option for anyone seeking a high-end electric scooter experience since it has remarkable performance, a large feature set, and a longer range. The S1 Pro has an amazing, contemporary appearance.
TVS iQube : Specs & Features
The iQube S is available in two modes: Sports and Eco. Both perform well while moving slowly. To be honest, at slower speeds, the Eco mode performs better than the Ola's Normal mode. However, it is capped at 50 km/h, which is a little disappointing. Although this is a step forward, the Sport mode only reaches 80 km/h, which is still far slower than the 116 km/h that the Ola claims and achieves. Therefore, the iQube is better suited for shorter journeys because you'll instantly start longing for the Ola if you find yourself on a broad length of road with somewhat higher road speeds. Remember that the iQube's Sport mode only provides 60 km of real-world range. The iQube appears to have more conventional controls and higher construction quality. It also provides a smoother ride and is more comfortable to use as a scooter.
The iQube seems to be better built and feature more traditional controls. In addition, it is more comfortable to operate as a scooter and offers a smoother ride. The TVS iQube is a sensible choice for urban transportation as it strikes a decent mix of performance, features, and price.
Final Verdict
In conclusion, personal tastes, financial constraints, and needs will determine which of the Ola S1 Pro and TVS iQube is best for you. The Ola S1 Pro would be a better choice if performance, range, and sophisticated features are your top priorities. On the other hand, the TVS iQube might be a good option if you're searching for an electric scooter that is more affordable while still offering respectable features and performance.
