The year 2022 turned out to be a successful year for electric vehicles.According to data available at VAHAN portal, EV sales grew from 3.2 lakh units in 2021 to nearly 10 lakh in 2022, a growth of over 200%.EV registrations in October 2022 were driven by electric two-wheelers.Ola Electric became the first-ever E2W manufacturer in India to dispatch 20,000 units in October 2022.As per reports sales of EVs increased by three-folds in the first half of FY 2022.Two-wheeler contributed majorly with a growth rate of 49%.In this article we will understand more about Ola’s new launch Ola S1 pro.

The Ola S1 Pro is powered by a mid-drive Internal Permanent Magnet (IPM) motor offering a peak power of 8.5kW and a peak torque of 58Nm (at the shaft). S1 Pro comes with three driving modes: normal,sports and extra hyper mode.It gains 0-40kmph in 0.3 seconds. The motor is linked to a banana-shaped non-removable lithium-ion battery pack nestling inside the curved floorboard.

Ola’s charging network
Ola Electric plans to establish a widespread network of its fast-charging stations, called the Ola Hypercharger Network. They are also planning to set up multi-level charging towers at city centres,malls and office area.Ola Electric plans to set up 5,000 charging points spread across 100 cities in India in its first year of operations, and this will then expand to over 1,00,000 charging stations across 400 cities in the future.
