New official EV partner of IPL 2023: Tata Tiago EV

One of the most anticipated premier leagues, The Indian Premier League (IPL) kicks off in the country on March 30th this year. Tata Motors has announced Tiago EV as the official campaign partner in the 2023 IPL.

It has become the official partner for the sixth time in the partnership. We all know that Tata's Nexon EV is one of the most popular EVs in India, following Tata Tigor EV. Now, we have another EV offering by Tata, the Tiago EV is the latest addition to the brand's electric vehicle family.

India's automotive giant, Tata has announced the new Tiago EV electric hatchback as an official EV partner in the 2023 league, which will be put on view in each of the 12 stadiums that will be hosting the IPL matches this year.

Given that Tata recently introduced the Championship line of SUVs, this is an unexpected twist. Tata Motors has been working with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the last 5 years and this year this will be their 6th partnership.

Tata will donate Rs.5 Lakh

Tata's latest non-exclusive model, Tata Tiago is the face of Tata Motors in IPL 2023. As part of its effort to promote electric vehicles, the automaker will also be giving away a "Tiago EV Electric Super Striker" and a prize money of one lakh rupees to the player with the highest success rate in each game.

It will also gift Tata Tiago to the 2023 winner to promote EVs among Indians.

To promote sustainability, Tata will also plant a sapling at the stadium next to the Tiago EV on display during the IPL matches and donate five lakh rupees to improve the biodiversity of coffee plantations in Karnataka state.

Tata is offering tickets to selected tournaments to encourage e-mobility and to increase the EV adoption rate in India.

Individuals who own any of the Tata EVs like Nexon EV, or Tigor EV will also have the chance to take part in the live event, and Tata will select a few of them to give the chance to present IPL awards to the players.

Tiago EV has four main models available in the market, XE, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux. The battery can be chosen from two types: 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh. The electric car is available from Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 11.99 lakh (price may vary as per city or state).
