Ayodhya is a city situated on the banks of holy river Saryu. In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.Ayodhya, also known as Saket, is an ancient city of India, is the birthplace of Bhagwan Shri Ram and setting of the great epic Ramayana.
On the occasion of Bhagwan Shri Ram Chandra idol’s "Pran Pratishtha" in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024 ,many tourists visited the holy city.Pilgrims are still travelling from abroad and within India.In such situation controlling traffic flow is very crucial task.This article will focus on how Ayodhya progressing steadily in order to improve the experience of tourists visiting the holy city and Ayodhya’s commitment to embrace electric mobility.
Large scale development in Ayodhya
The holy city of Ayodhya, also known as Avadhpuri, witnessed large-scale development works in 2023.The year 2024 is poised to be the most significant year in the history of Ayodhya.
Development in transportation sector includes
Vande Bharat trains to cover a new Ramayana Circuit, connecting Ayodhya to Varanasi and Sithamarhi in Bihar.
The new Ayodhya International Airport aims to cater to 10 lakh tourists and pilgrims annually.
Over 100 electric buses are expected to be put to service along Dharma Path and Ram Path, two of the four key thoroughfares in Ayodhya.
Golf carts and e-rickshaws will also be available for the convenience of devotees and tourists.
Laxmi kunj multi level parking
The Uttar Pradesh government has gifted Ayodhya a new multilevel parking facility, a much-anticipated addition to the city's infrastructure. Costing Rs 3708.49 lakh, the Laxman Kunj Smart Vehicle Multi-Storey Parking, situated near the Collectorate, was inaugurated by District Magistrate Nitish Kumar.In order to reduce expected traffic congestion and improve the experience of tourists 5 multi-level parking is being constructed in Ayodhya city.
According to District Magistrate Nitish Kumar, tourists would find this multi-level parking to be very convenient and a significant improvement to the traffic system.Four parking lots are almost ready and one parking lot is in its finishing touch.
Beyond their primary purpose, these multi-level establishments provide stores, kid-friendly areas, lodging, and dining options.
Approximately 96 percent of the work has been completed. In this multi-level parking, arrangements have been made for parking of 282 four-wheelers, 309 two-wheelers, 15 shops and a canteen. Four lifts have also been installed in this building. Apart from this, an e-charging point was made.
Ayodhya development authority to establish EV charging stations
Tata Power has partnered with Ayodhya development authority to establish EV charging stations in public parking areas throughout Ayodhya.By installing public charging infrastructure in public areas, the collaboration sends a powerful message to tourist ,residents of Ayodhya about the transition to cleaner and greener mode of transport.This initiative contributes to a more sustainable and environmentally conscious society in Ayodhya.
