Kazam - 30 most promising Indian startups of 2022 by your story

The Indian startup ecosystem is emerging and growing day by day. Its popularity among youths of the country is a hot topic of every discussion. However, we can easily notice that young companies are no longer following the same path as veterans of the country's IT industry and wealthy startups like Flipkart, Swiggy, Ola, and Zomato. Today's entrepreneurs are venturing beyond the niche of the software domain into unexplored sectors such as the EV industry.

We can't deny the fact that there are many challenges and blockers are there that entrepreneurs and startups still facing in 2022, but innovation among various sectors of the industry is promising. The 2022 Tech30 list further shows that startups are an integral part of driving innovation and breakthroughs, with 18 of the companies holding patents. The Tech30 Startup List of over 1,580 applicants also shows how startups and entrepreneurship culture are becoming more and more famous in Tier II and Tier III cities.

The percentage of registration in Tier 1 cities has fallen from 74% to 71% this year. On the other hand, 20 Tier 2 and 3 cities received registration from 5 or more startups, while an additional 139 sites had registration from fewer than 5 startups. A lot of the selected startups had leading investors such as Sequoia Capital India and Kunal Shah (founder of CRED), while a few startups received funding from Accel and Tiger Global.

TechSparks Event

The highlight of the first day of the flagship tech startup event TechSparks 2022 by YourStory, was the announcement of 2022 Tech30 startups. In this event, an exclusive list of the 30 most promising startups in India was presented here.

Founder, and CEO of YourStory, Shraddha Sharma, proudly presented the 11th edition of the Tech30 Annual Report. This includes selecting his company as the founder of the Tech30 list 2022. At the launch, Shraddha said Tech30 was founded 11 years ago, it will allow promising startups should not to be subject to investor consent alone.

CEO Shraddha further added and wished the companies, “I hope you grow up out of this and go where you go." She said, "The list included the largest tech companies of India such as Chargebee, Innovaccer, and others. The startup ecosystem is going through tough times, which means we don't have to compete, we have to work together." She also motivates the participants by saying that on their next trip, they will always be by their side in the future.
