1. Servotech awarded major contract to supply 800 EV chargers.
Servotech Power Systems, an NSE-listed manufacturer of EV charging solutions, has been awarded a major contract by Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) for installing of 800 DC fast 2chargers at petrol pumps across India in the next four months. The project has been initiated already in Delhi and is worth Rs.46.2 crores. The project is expected to complete by 31 March, 2023. Under the terms of the contract, Servotech will look into the installation and maintenance of DC fast chargers BPCL’s petrol pumps. The project also includes deployment of e-mobility touchpoints that will assist with transactions, availability, discovery and navigation in order to give EV users easy access to the charging network.
2. Yulu and Karnataka Government come together.
Yulu signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Karnataka on November 2. As per the terms of the MoU, Yulu would invest Rs.1200 crore over the next 5 years to deploy a fleet of 1 lakh electric vehicles and set up EV charging & swapping infrastructure in the state. A total of 7000 direct jobs will be generated. Yulu will use its R&D and manufacturing to design, develop and produce IoTs & EV chargers.
Yulu is a Bengaluru-based company which provides seamless, shared and sustainable first & last-mile connectivity using Micro Mobility Vehicles (MMVs) via a user-friendly app.
3. A new app focussed on parking spaces with potential for a lot more.
KARLOSi Technologies, a leading innovator in the field of parking management has come up with the PARKOSi app, a mobile application that allows users to find parking spaces.
The app provides information and navigation towards the closest parking spot from the user’s geolocation. Another feature in the app is the ‘Host’ feature, where home or commercial space owners can register their parking spaces and earn money.
Users can book an accessible parking spot for desired time and pay online. Upcoming features include traffic updates, roadside assistance and EV charging booking. At present, the app shows which parking space has EV charging facility.
4. Ampere shines in festive season.
Greaves Electric, the e-mobility arm of Greaves Cotton, has announced its festive sales performance of its ‘Ampere’ electric two-wheelers. During the September-October 2022 festive period, Ampere broke all its past records and achieved a milestone sale of over 16,500 units as per Vahan data. Moving beyond metros, Ampere got a great response from the states of Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan & Chandigarh. The recently concluded Ampere ‘Go Electric’ Fest, which presented financing options as well as corporate and B2B partnerships forged with several channels, including Flipkart, stimulated an impressive surge in sales.
5. India International EV Show to be held from 13 to 15 November.
The India International EV Show will be held from 13 to 15 November 2022 at Auto Cluster Exhibition Centre, Chinchwad, Pune.
The exhibition cum conference brings together more than 120 companies from the automotive industry and various other EV sectors to showcase their most cutting-edge technologies. The companies participating in the event include Magenta, Lubi EV Solutions, Siemens, iScoot among others.
