EV charging company ChargeZone has launched India’s 1st ‘SuperCharging Network’ for rapid EV charging. The first few supercharging stations are ready to serve electric car owners in Mumbai & Vellore.

These charging stations host 180 kW dual-gun chargers and 360 kW power cabinets, which include an advanced feature: the 4 guns can deliver 60kW each at 200 Amp and 1 gun can deliver 500 Amp DC current with liquid cooling. This is the 1st time such a unique system has been introduced in the country. Charge Zone aims to establish 150 such superchargers across India.

The decision to deploy the supercharger network in certain cities was prompted by high vehicle traffic on a few routes like the Chennai-Bengaluru highway, one of southern India’s busiest and the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), an area hosting a super busy lineup of commercial complexes in Mumbai.
