1. Tork Motors collaborates with Bolt.Earth for EV charging services.
Pune-based electric motorcycle manufacturer Tork Motors has joined hands with EV charging company Bolt.Earth. This tie-up will allow Tork's customers to access Bolt.Earth's EV charging network across the country.
Both Tork Motors & Bolt.Earth are members of the Bharat Charge Alliance, which is a platform for a common, interoperable EV charging infrastructure for electric two & three-wheelers. The purpose of this tie-up is to provide Tork electric bike customers access to a large network of EV charging points. Charger locations will be integrated into Tork's mobile app. Tork currently offers the Kratos-R electric motorcycle, which is priced at Rs 1.67 lakh.
2. Bridgestone dealerships to have Tata Power EV charging stations.
Tyre company Bridgestone India has joined hands with Tata Power to set-up EV charging stations at its dealerships across the country. As per the agreement, Tata Power will install 25-30 kWh DC fast-chargers for e4wheelers at ‘Bridgestone Select’ stores. The chargers will be open 24/7 not just for Bridgestone customers, but for all EV owners. Tata Power will also provide maintenance support, remote monitoring & e payments through its ‘Tata Power EZ Charge’ mobile app.
The first of these EV charging stations was recently inaugurated at Bridgestone Select Shirur (Pune-Ahmednagar highway).
3. Magenta Mobility deploys Tata Ace EVs in its fleet.
Electric mobility solutions company Magenta Mobility has joined hands with Tata Motors to deploy 500 units of Tata Ace EV in its fleet. Tata Motors has tailored these Ace EVs as per Magenta’s needs and the latter plans to use these for intra-city mid-mile & last-mile deliveries.
The Tata Ace EV is a light commercial electric four-wheeler which comes with a 21.3 kWh battery. It has a range of 154 km and it supports fast-charging. The Ace EV has a payload capacity of 600 kg.
4. Multibrand EV retailer BLive opens 5th store in Odisha.
Multibrand EV platform BLive is strengthening its foothold in Odisha and has now opened its 5th store in the state. The outlet has been opened in Berhampur city (also known as Brahmapur). BLive already has stores in Rourkela, Khordha and two in Dhenkanal city, in Odisha. This is BLive’s 26th ‘experience centre’ in the country.
Apart from offering a wide range of EVs from multiple brands, the store also offers finance solutions & special offers. Customers will be able to experience a wide variety of electric scooters, motorcycles, e-bicycles & delivery two & three-wheelers at the store. The showroom also provides ‘try and buy’ services and home demos. Brands offered include Kinetic Green, Hero Lectro E-Cycles, Ather, RunR, Hero Electric, Revolt, Batt:RE, Gemopai, OSM, EMotorad, Piaggio & others.
5. Shakti Pumps to invest Rs 114 crores in its EV subsidiary.
Submersible pump manufacturing company Shakti Pumps has announced plans to invest Rs 114 crore in its wholly-owned EV subsidiary 'Shakti EV Mobility'. This investment will be made over a period of 5 years. Shakti EV Mobility will manufacture BLDC motors, EV chargers & variable frequency drives (VFDs). The company’s manufacturing facility is at Dhar (Madhya Pradesh).
Shakti Pumps received a positive response from the share market following this announcement. Company shares ended 3% up on the BSE.
