1. The iconic Kinetic Luna to make a comeback in an electric avatar.
Kinetic introduced the ‘Luna’ 50 years ago and it became a big hit owing to its affordability. There was a time when the company was selling 2000 units of the moped per day! Now, a tweet from Kinetic Green’s CEO has sparked rumours that the Luna might be returning in an electric avatar.
The main reason why the Luna became a success among customers when it was launched 50 years ago was its price. Back then, the price of the Luna was around Rs 2000. Kinetic had a whopping 95% share in the moped market at the time. Just like with the old Luna, Kinetic Green will have to price the new electric Luna competitively to make an impact.
It is highly unlikely that the company will offer fast-charging capabilities with the electric Luna.
