1. Servotech to set up solar-powered EV charging infrastructure at a government ministry premises.

NSE-listed Servotech Power Systems Ltd will install a solar-powered EV charging ‘carport’ at the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) premises in New Delhi. A carport is a covered structure where vehicles are parked. The project's scope of work will involve Servotech designing, fabricating and installing solar energy storage system with EV charging capabilities. This facility will have a 5kW solar system, equipped with two DC fast-chargers of 11kW each.

Servotech is one of the multibagger stocks that the Indian stock market has produced recently. The stock was launched at Rs 31 per share in 2017 and today this multibagger stock is at Rs 162, which is around 5 times of its issue price!

2. Le Meridien Goa gets an EV charging station; A 3-star Hotel with an EV charging station opens in Morbi.

Le Meridien Goa (Calangute) inaugurated an EV charging station in collaboration with Charge Zone. The hotel has installed a 60kW DC fast-charging station with dual charging guns. The charging station will be open for hotel guests as well as outside visitors.

Suba Group of Hotels, a chain of hotels which promises ‘affordable luxury’, has opened a three-star hotel in Morbi (Gujarat). The hotel, named ‘Click Hotel LH Seven’, is located in the heart of Morbi. In its effort to promote sustainability, the new hotel offers an EV charging station at the property.

3. Adani-Total wins CESL tender to set up EV charging stations in 8 cities.

Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL) has bagged a CESL tender for EV charging stations in 8 cities (Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Surat & Pune). The contract includes delivering the services through a ‘Build, Own, Operate’ (BOO) model. CESL (Convergence Energy Services Ltd) is a public sector company which focuses on providing energy solutions for electric mobility, agriculture, etc.

ATGL is a joint venture between Adani Group and French energy major Total. The company entered the electric mobility sector earlier this year and launched its first EV charging station in Ahmedabad.

4. President of India to launch an app and a website for promotion of e-mobility.

President Droupadi Murmu will launch an EV yatra portal and a mobile app, which will assist in navigation to the nearest public EV charger. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has developed this app and a website which features information about various central and state government schemes to promote electric mobility in the country. BEE has also developed a web portal for Charge Point Operators (CPOs) to register their details securely into the National Online Database.

5. Mumbai Airport gets fast-charging stations at two terminals.

Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport has installed six DC fast-charging stations at Terminal 1 & 2. These new EV charging stations will be available for passengers as well as guests.

The airport runs on 100% renewable energy with an onsite solar power plant and a wind turbine, thus sourcing 100% clean power. The airport uses Mahindra Treo Zor electric commercial vehicle to shuttle air cargo to and fro the airport warehouse.
