1. MG India partners with Zeon Charging.
MG Motor India has signed an agreement with Zeon Charging. This is MG India’s 6th collaboration with a charge point operator. The agreement will add around 300 of Zeon’s AC chargers & DC charging stations to MG’s charging options.
Zeon charging stations will appear on MyMG app, making them easily accessible on smartphones and MG’s car infotainment touchscreens. The EV charging company will give exclusive offers to MG customers.
2. RevFin raises funds to expand services.
Electric vehicle financing company RevFin has raised $14 million (Rs 115 crores) in its Series B funding round. The round was led by Omidyar Network with a $5 million (Rs 41.5 crore) investment, along with Asian Development Bank (ADB), Companion Capital and existing investors Green Frontier Capital & LC Nueva. This funding will help RevFin provide financing for electric two & three-wheelers, and other types of EVs. The funding will also support EV charging stations and batteries.
The company is also looking at financing EV battery, charging stations, retrofits and electric tractors, and aims at having 8 different product verticals by Q1 2024.
3. EV charging station installation work starts in Amritsar.
Amritsar Municipal Corporation has started installing EV charging stations in the city. Three stations are initially being set-up, at Company Bagh, Amritsar Bus Stand (Mehar Pura) and Ram Talai Chowk, in partnership with Adani TotalEnergies. The civic body has tied-up with Adani TotalEnergies to set-up EV charging stations at 18 spots in Amritsar city.
The charging stations will be compatible with electric two-wheelers, e-autos and electric cars. The municipal corporation started the RAAHI project in the city for auto drivers to replace their old diesel autos with e-autos and avail cash subsidy of Rs 1.40 lakhs.
4. Actor Suniel Shetty buys an MG Comet EV.
Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty recently purchased the MG Comet EV. The actor shared a photo of the micro electric car on Instagram while posing with it.
The actor has bought the top-spec ‘Plush’ variant in black colour. The Comet EV comes with a 17.3 kWh battery which gives a range of 230 km. It is a 2-door, 4-seater car.
5. Adani Total Gas collaborates with Flipkart to decarbonize its supply chain.
Adani Total Gas has signed an agreement with Flipkart to support the e-commerce company’s drive to decarbonize its supply chain. The two companies will work together to reduce Flipkart’s carbon footprint in the movement of goods between sourcing locations, warehouses and end-customers.
Adani Total Gas will provide cleaner energy options like CNG and EV charging. The company’s subsidiary Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Ltd will deploy EV charging infrastructure covering Flipkart's all-India supply chain, including warehouses and other stopovers.
