1. Bangalore mall installs 46 EV charging points.

A total of 46 new EV charging points were installed in Bengaluru at the Nexus Shantiniketan Mall in Whitefield. The charging points include AC & DC fast chargers (CCS2).

The charging points are commissioned by Finland-based Fortum’s Indian arm ‘Fortum Charge & Drive India’. The company earlier commissioned 50 EV charging points at Nexus Whitefield Mall in April 2022 and decided to expand its charging network after it received a warm response from users.

2. Delhi-based ‘Erisha’ launches EVs & EV charging station.

Erisha e-mobility, a manufacturer and exporter of electric vehicles, launched an electric cargo loader, electric delivery van, electric auto-rickshaw and EV charging station on 7 October 2022. The electric cargo loader has been named ‘E-Superior’, the electric delivery van has been named ‘E-Supreme’ and the electric auto-rickshaw has been named ‘E- Smart’. The company has also launched AC chargers (3.3kW, 7.2kW, 10kW & 14kW).

3. Mufin Green Finance raises Rs.45 crore to expand its EV financing business.

Mufin Green Finance has raised Rs.45 crore in Series A funding from Incofin India Progress Fund (IPF).

Mufin Green Finance was founded in 2016 and is listed on BSE. The company provides loans for electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers and for setting up EV charging stations. The company claims to have financed EVs worth more than Rs.160 crore across 9 states in India.

4. MG Motors to focus on electric mobility in its Developer Program.

MG Motors launched its Developer Program with the objective of accelerating Indian startups in the field of electric mobility.

The automaker has partnered with Invest India & Startup India as lead partners. Jio-BP, Exicom, Fortum, CESL, MapmyIndia & Bosch will be the technology partners.

MG Developer Program will focus on EV charging infrastructure, fleet management, electric components, EV batteries, green energy solutions, EV battery life cycle management and Battery-as-a-service (BaaS).

5. Electric Vehicle Expo ‘Auto EV India 2022’ to be held between 9 to 11 November 2022.

Auto EV India 2022, a mega electric vehicle technology exhibition, will be held at KTPO Ground, Bangalore from 9 to 11 November.

The event will broadly focus on new EV concepts, EV Batteries, Microcontrollers, Control Modules, Charging Management Software, Sensors, Converters, EV Chargers, Connectors, etc. The exhibition will also showcase new EV models.

The expo presents an opportunity for manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, influencers and startups to showcase and witness the latest developments in the e-mobility industry.
