In this article we are going to talk about two of them. First one is the Tata altroz EV and the other is the MG air EV.

MG air EV

The British automaker has confirmed that MG Air EV will launch in India in January 2023.The model will be put up on display at the Delhi Auto Expo that will be held from 13th to 18th January, 2023. MG Air is the second EV from MG motor India.Its a three door compact electric hatchback.It is also said that MG Air EV is essentially the re-badged Wuling Air EV that’s retailed in the Indonesian market.

MG Air EV will give range 200-300 km

It will use an LFP-cell battery, whose capacity is expected to be around 20-25kWh. LFP-cell battery, sourced from Tata Autocomp.MG Air is expected to be powered by a single, front-axle motor with a power output of around 50kW (68hp).

MG Air EV the compact EV

MG Air EV will be the smallest four-wheeler on sale in India.

It's just a 2.9m long ,3 door compact hatchback.Thanks to its intelligent design like boxy shape,space-efficient interior packaging ,relatively long 2,010mm wheelbase,lack of an engine and gearbox makes it a comfortable ride.

MG Air will be powered by a 25 kWh battery and 50 kW motor, giving it an effective range of around 200-300 km on a single charge.

Price

MG Air EV will not be a budget car as people might expect for its size. Tata Tiago EV was launched at a knockout introductory price of Rs 8.49 lakh but MG Air we expect it to be priced upwards of Rs 10 lakh.

Launch

The MG Air EV will be assembled in India,they are planning production of about 700 units per month.MG Air EV will launch in India in January 2023.The model will be put up on display at the Delhi Auto Expo that will be held from 13th to 18th January.

Tata altroz EV

Tata altroz is the fourth electric vehicle by tata motors. Tata altroz is a hatchback EV. Before altroz tata had already launched Tata Nexon,Tata Tiago,Tata Tigor.Tata altroz was first showcased at auto expo 2020.Altroz premium hatchback urban car, the first product built on the futuristic and versatile 'Agile Light Flexible Advanced' (ALFA) Architecture.

Exterior

The Altroz EV has differently styled front and rear bumpers compared to its ICE version, air dams with star pattern, EV-specific grille,newly-designed alloy wheels with blue highlights and blacked-out section of the tailgate with slightly repositioned badge.

Interior

Blue highlights inside the cabin, lighter upholstery and a rotary gear selector,7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system,iRA connected car tech, keyless entry with push-button start-stop, leatherette upholstery, automatic climate control, automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers,a 7.0-inch semi-digital instrument cluster.

Price

Tata Altroz EV will be slightly more expensive than its ICE counterparts, which are currently available within the price range of Rs 6 lakh – Rs 10 lakh.

Tata Altroz price could be somewhere around Rs 10-11 lakh or even higher .Altroz doesn’t have any direct competitor.
