All-new Hero Vida V1 Plus vs V1 Pro electric scooter: Design, Colours, Range, Specifications, and More

As governments and agencies across the country are aggressively working towards the adoption of green vehicles, we can expect a paradigm shift in the Indian automotive industry: from combustion engines to completely electric vehicles. We can also observe the change in the buying pattern of drivers as Indian customers are more interested in electric two-wheelers than four-wheelers. After all, affordable two-wheelers will attract more buyers than cars due to their affordability. Some of them were designed from scratch for the needs of the Indian market while the rest were imported from outside and sold in India.

One such scratch product is Hero Motorcorp's, Hero Vida. Hero MotoCorp one of India's largest two-wheeler manufacturers recently made its entry into the electric vehicle market with the launch of its first electric scooter. This all-new Vida has two variants available for the Indian market and is a direct competitor of Bajaj Chetak, Ather 450X, Simple One, TVS iQube, and Ola electric scooter.

Hero Vida V1 Plus

  • The V1 Plus is equipped with a smaller 3.44 kWh battery pack as compared to the V1 pro.
  • The Vida V1 Plus has an Indian Driving Range (IDC) of 143 km.
  • The fast charge time remains the same for both versions, going from zero to 80% in less than 65 minutes while home charging can take up to 5 hours to charge it from 0 to 80%.
  • The Plus version can go from 0-40 km/h in 3.4 seconds. In general, both electric scooters have been equipped with the same motor, which produces 6 kW of main power.
  • The retail price of Hero Vida V1 Plus is Rs 1.45 lakhs. The company offers the Plus variant in three color options: Matte White, Matte Sport Red, and Glossy Black.

  • It offers a charging time of 65 minutes to charge the battery from 0% to 80% while home charging can take up to 6 hours to charge it from 0 to 80%.
  • Vida has also adjusted the electric motor differently in the two versions. The Pro reaches 40 km/h in 3.2 seconds, 0.1 seconds faster than the Ather 450X.
  • The Vida V1 Pro is available at Rs 1.59 lakhs (including FAME II grants, excluding government grants). The Vida V1 Pro is available in four colors including Matte White, Matte Sport Red, Glossy Black, and Matte Abracs Orange.
