2022 Chevy Bolt EV Review
Chevrolet Bolt EV is a Chevrolet token of success. The updated Chevrolet Bolt EV 2022 is an electric hatchback with a significant Bolt EUV addition this year. The new, redesigned Chevrolet Bolt is GM's ambitious plan to produce 30 new electric vehicles worldwide by 2025. Bolt's chassis and drivetrain have remained the same since 2021, but the interior style and technology have been improved and that too in a better way. Not only has the quality and style of the interior improved, but also safety and connectivity. Though it is equipped with the same electric motor and 65 kWh lithium-ion battery as before, the Volt 2022 maintains an impressive 259 miles of range. This summer, the new Bolt is based on the same chassis, but is 6 inches long and is sold with new 3-inch legroom in the rear. The Bolt EUV which is an electric SUV is similar to the standard Bolt EV but does not have a body panel. 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV major competitors are Hyundai Kona EV, Kianilo EV and Nissan Leaf.
Design
With the same dimensions as before, the 2022 Volt EV has enough space for every kind of passenger, but the rear seats have slightly less legroom. The entire redesign interior will make you love this car and the quality of the materials has also been upgraded to make this car comfier. Along with the flat-bottomed steering wheel and Regenon Demand paddle movement, the 2022 Bolt EV has a new electronic paddle movement with switches and buttons. It also features an 8.0-inch redesigned color instrumentation browser with a 10.2-inch color touchscreen with built-in temperature control. The redesigned Chevrolet Bolt EV 2022 focuses on the front of the vehicle. The front is more vertical with a new hood and cut-out LED headlights that are series leg markers. We think this new propeller looks more like an electric car than before, but it could have been made on purpose. It also changed the backlight function of the LED taillights with upgraded features in it.
Autonomy
The Bolt is a good autonomy car that, according to EPA estimates, can travel 259 miles at a single price. The Chevrolet Bolt 2022 has an electric motor instead of an engine. It is a 150 kW permanent magnet motor, a 65 kW lithium-ion battery and a 947 lb melt cooling system. In more familiar terms, Bolt EV's electric powertrains have 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, the latter of which is available when the accelerator pedal is pressed. With a 240 Volt Class 2 Home Charger, the EV Volt can be fully charged in about 7 hours. The cost of a 120 volt home can be time-consuming. Chevrolet said using 120 volts for an hour of charging would give a range of four miles. The Chevrolet Bolt EV is still manufactured in Orion, Michigan, and its electric motor and battery are manufactured in South Korea. Chevrolet Bolt EV EPA 2022 fuel economy data refers to cities 131 mpg / 109 mpg. Chevrolet said the new 2022-volt electric car has a range of 259 miles.
Battery Power and Charge Times
The battery capacity of 65 kWh is slightly lower with a 1 kWh reduction, but the range is estimated to be the same as last year. That range is still enough to set itself apart from the competition between Hyundai, Kia, and Nissan, but it lags far behind the Tesla Model 3. If you upgrade to an 11.5 kW level 2 charging, your home electricity bill could cost much higher than expected. To make sure your home can handle the excess power and make the most of it, you'll need to install a 48A wall charger. Takes about 7 hours, but the estimated cost is 10 hours for a dual-level charging cord straight into a NEMA 14-50 outlet. You can charge from a standard 110-volt wall, but that only extends the range to about 4 mph. Bolt can still quickly build up DC to about 55 kW as compared to other EVs in the market. This means that it takes about an hour to increase the capacity of the fast station to 80%. This does not exclude the contract, especially considering the price of screws and the number of such costs. At the very least, DC's high cost is a standard feature, so at least you won't be spending more money getting it.
Features
Options for the 2022 Bolt EV include a two-phase charging cable, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto wireless connection, wireless smartphone charging, and a 4G WiFi hotspot. Available safety features and driving assistance include rear interference warning, surround cameras, and cruise control. You'll also find new car apps that allow Bolt EV owners to use popular apps like Alexa, Spotify, and weather channels. A new charging cable supplied with the Bolt EV allows you to connect your vehicle to a standard 120V three-phase door for a Level 1 charge, or a 240V Level 2 output for up to 7.2 kW. The standard safety package includes forward crash warning, automatic emergency braking, exit warning, blade maintenance support, and vehicle speed signal.
Price
The most important thing for customers is the drop in prices. Chevrolet reduced the price from $36,500 (model 2021) to $31,000 due to economies of scale. For vehicles heavily upgraded in several ways, this will save $5,500.
